To relax and get rid of some stress, I visited Sto Domingo, Albay to see the other side of Mt Mayon. I stayed at the Coastal View Resort which was formerly named as 'Black Sands Resort'. Definitely, there are no white beaches in this sleepy town a few kilometers away from Legaspi City. The town is known for its black colored sand beaches, thanks to the occasional eruption of Mt Mayon which had dumped tons of lava and lahar in the beaches below.
The resort has a conference hall that can accommodate at least a hundred participants.
It has an excellent view of the ocean but swimming is not really advisable during inclement weather.
